SentBe Partners with GCash to Strengthen Reliability of Remittances from Korea to the Philippines

The global total foreign exchange solution company SentBe announced a partnership with GCash, the Philippines’ leading financial app, to strengthen the stability and efficiency of personal remittance services from Korea to the Philippines.
The Philippines remains one of the key destinations for outbound remittances from Korea. According to statistics from the Korea Immigration Service under the Ministry of Justice[1], the number of Filipino nationals residing in Korea increased by approximately 58%, from 46,871 in 2021 to 74,125 in 2025. As the Filipino population in Korea continues to grow, so does the importance of providing a stable and reliable remittance environment for sending living expenses and financial support to family members back home.
To address the needs of users sending money from Korea to the Philippines, SentBe has pursued this partnership with GCash. The collaboration is part of SentBe’s broader service enhancement efforts to improve the operational stability and efficiency of its existing GCash wallet payout service available through its personal international remittance platform.
Through direct collaboration with GCash, SentBe has established a more stable remittance environment that enables users in Korea to send funds directly to recipients’ GCash wallets in the Philippines with greater reliability. This is expected to deliver a more trustworthy remittance experience for senders, while allowing recipients to conveniently access and use their funds through the GCash mobile wallet.
Funds sent by SentBe users in Korea are delivered directly to recipients’ GCash wallets in the Philippines. Recipients can immediately use the funds for everyday financial activities such as paying household expenses, utility bills, and purchasing daily necessities. As the GCash mobile wallet supports the full process from receiving remittances to using the funds, the service is also expected to enhance convenience for recipients.
GCash is the Philippines’ leading financial super app and a key player in the country’s cashless ecosystem, serving more than 90 million users. Through the GCash app, users can access a wide range of financial services including prepaid mobile top-ups, bill payments, money transfers, merchant payments, savings, loans, insurance, and investments. The GCash mobile wallet is operated by G-Xchange(GXI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Philippine unicorn company Mynt.
